There are five big trends to keep your eye on 2008. I wouldn't normally turn to Fortune for my fashion advice -- it's a financial publication, after all -- but their picks makes sense. Grown-up, sophisticated, and right where mainstream style has been headed ever since we dumped that 80s resurgence once and for all.
Here's what you'll need in Febuary !!!
1. New boots , got to have at least one new pair .Look cool and casual without dressing like a slob.
2. Yummie Statement coat, make it like a goegeous. You will be lost without one this season! Whether it's a patchwork of different materials, a unique shape, or an interesting gleam on the surface, you don't want your coat to be basic. New details include cocoon backs, hoods, very wide arms, a belted waist, big collar, and rounded shoulders. Don't be caught this winter without a great statement coat!
3. Dresses : their have become a very big come back in this season. Its so nice to be able to play dress up. Most dresses are styled to fall just above the knees. This is a flattering length on most woman, and a comfortable length for most occations.
4. Jeans : Jeans, Jeans and more Jeans... It appears that most popular designers are betting that woman want a jean with a bit higher waist, and closer fit at the leg. Such as the straight leg, boot cut, and the skinny jean. Madonna has started the new higher waist jean in England, and this trend is quickly making its way across the pond... It might be nice to not have to worry about the dreaded muffin top?
